About Patinoire de Kockelscheuer
Patinoire de Kockelscheuer is the official ice rink south of Luxembourg City, next to the Kockelscheuer P&R with 550 free parking spaces. The birthday format runs only on weekends: a 50-minute coached session on a privatised section of the rink, then a reserved hour at a brasserie table. Each kid keeps a day pass for free-skating during public hours afterwards, and seal skating aids are part of the package so beginners can stay on the ice through the coached slot.
Best for
- Beginners and mixed-ability groups, with an instructor on the ice throughout.
- Groups up to twenty kids where one coach per ten keeps supervision proportional.
- Families who want the party and free-skating time sorted in a single booking.
Good to know
- Birthday slots are Saturdays and Sundays only; weekday parties aren't offered.
- The age-6 floor reflects the coached format; under-6s tend not to last the slot.
- Food and drinks come from the on-site brasserie; only the cake can be brought in.

Coaches scale one per ten kids, so a group of 15 gets two instructors on the ice, which matters when the experience level inside the group is mixed.
