About Parc Merveilleux
Parc Merveilleux in Bettembourg is the country's main animal park, with nearly 200 species across five continents, walk-through animal houses (Mahajanga and Amazonia), a minizoo with touchable dwarf goats, plus playgrounds, minigolf, a Pony-Express, a mini-train and bumper cars. Birthdays run as a restaurant package (park entry, three ride tokens, drinks and cake on a per-person rate) and an optional Zooschule layer, a one-hour themed guided tour with an animator across five themes pitched at ages 4 to 8.
Best for
- Animal-loving birthdays where the herd, the houses and the petting zoo are the activity.
- Mixed-energy days where kids cycle from animals to playground to mini-train and back.
- Days where the Zooschule animator gives the visit a structured anchor.
Good to know
- 2026 season: 21 March – 11 October, daily 9:30–19:00. The park is fully outdoor and weather-dependent.
- Restaurant birthday slot is Mon to Sat 15:00–17:00 only; cake choice must be confirmed at least 3 days ahead.
- Annual and family cards don't deduct from the per-person birthday rate.
- The Zooschule tour books separately at zooschoul@parc-merveilleux.lu with 5 days' lead time.

The age threshold varies by theme (4+ / 6+ / 7+ / 8+); pick the theme to match the youngest child on the guest list. Slots: Tue/Thu 14:00–15:00 or 16:00–17:00; Sat 10:00–11:00, 14:00–15:00 or 16:00–17:00. No Sundays or public holidays.
